Okay then, what's the job?
This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with structured processes and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll play an important part in supporting the operational side of our platform by handling client onboarding, managing data across different systems, and ensuring workflows are executed accurately and securely.
The position combines hands-on operational work with opportunities to improve processes and collaborate closely with engineers and internal teams. If you like spotting inconsistencies, solving small operational puzzles, and bringing order to complex workflows, you’ll feel at home here.
You’ll also have the opportunity to gradually take ownership of operational processes and help shape how they evolve as the company grows.
Join us and contribute directly to our clients' success in the competitive realm of video game sales!
You’ll be a great fit if you:
Are detail-oriented and comfortable validating data across multiple tools while spotting inconsistencies or missing information;
Are comfortable handling sensitive customer data responsibly and understand the importance of security and precision;
Like structured, well-documented workflows and naturally keep things organised and methodical;
Can follow established procedures, but also notice when something could be improved;
Enjoy investigating issues and getting to the root cause of operational problems;
Like understanding how processes work end-to-end and taking ownership of parts of them;
Are happy to maintain and improve documentation so that knowledge stays clear and accessible;
Feel comfortable collaborating with engineers and other internal teams when improvements or fixes are needed;
Work well independently and manage your tasks reliably;
Don’t mind some repetitive work, as long as it requires focus and precision;
Communicate confidently in English and can write clear internal documentation.
Extra skills that would help you shine in this role:
Interest in the gaming industry and digital game distribution;
Experience using tools such as Jira or Confluence;
Previous experience in operations, process support, or similar roles (especially in identifying operational inefficiencies and suggesting improvements);
Experience maintaining internal documentation or knowledge bases.
We appreciate that it's impossible to be an out the gate specialist for a unique service! We'll be providing guidance, shadowing and collateral to ensure you have all of the relevant information to set you up for success in this role.
In this role you will:
Support operational processes related to onboarding new clients and their ongoing daily operations;
Execute operational tasks that involve working with client data and platform configurations;
Monitor operational workflows and react quickly to errors, inconsistencies or missing information;
Take ownership of selected operational tasks and, over time, larger parts of operational processes;
Maintain and update documentation describing operational procedures and workflows;
Identify areas where processes can be improved and collaborate with the engineering team to implement those improvements.
We will provide you with training and you’ll always be able to rely on our Delivery Managers and wider business functions to guide you, but you will also be expected and encouraged to take the initiative yourself to best support our clients.
In return we're offering:
Full time job from any place in the world with whatever type of contract suits you best (but it's a major plus if your time zone is not too far from Europe);
Competitive salary adjusted according to your experience, type of contract you choose and your location (e.g. 7000 -9000 gross PLN/month - contract of employment for people based in Poland);
A meaningful stock option plan to reflect your responsibilities and substantial contribution to the project;
Paid holidays, sick leave, 26 days of vacations, no matter the type of contract;
A nice assortment of useful benefits - reimbursements for home office workstations and peripherals, training budgets, private healthcare subsidies, monthly hackdays to flex a different set of creative muscles;
Remote-first work environment - we have a headquarters in Poland but do live our work lives online, including in-house workshops and trainings, teambuilding, and board games;
A team of creative friends from the cross section of video games, startup development, and data analytics;
An exciting startup project in one of the most vibrant industries in the world, in direct contact with people making amazing games;
A cozy head office in Łódź with tons of fruits, chocolate, coffee and board games.
We hire people, not resources. We have flexible working hours so you can balance your lifestyle requirements with your work responsibilities. We're trusting you with your own time management, relying on your work being fun and exciting to keep you motivated, and expecting your experience and professionalism to define your relationship with our clients and the rest of the team.
We especially encourage marginalized groups and people from underserved backgrounds, genders, and locations to apply.

Can I get a bit more backstory, please?
IndieBI was originally a sales intelligence platform created to help developers and video game studios know their playground a little bit better.
We automatically pull sales data from all of the most relevant sales platforms, normalize it, process it a little and present our users with neat interactive dashboards and advisory tools. This enables game developers and publishers to build better intuition, evaluate their performance, and ultimately leads to better decisions. Those folks are often pretty busy doing what they really love - making video games - and we're here to help them deal with the busywork of actually selling the games after they're made.
We initially developed IndieBI in order to track our own game sales on every platform, and to make smart decisions based on the data we gathered. Over time, we quietly shared it with other developers, and the response was overwhelmingly positive - so we’ve raised funds, spun it out into its own company, and have been growing and scaling ever since. IndieBI currently has 45+ people working on data, product, analysis, and business development and we’re steadily making more full time hires to round out the teams.
IndieBI has helped us tremendously, and we've since been able to share it with hundreds of other studios, funds, and publishers - including many whose games you've surely played yourself, such as Among Us, Gang Beasts, Peak, Slay The Spire, Rust, Clair Obscur, or Dead by Daylight.
The insights and advice our small team of analysts were able to supply for our studio and our early beta partners have already more than paid for the development of the platform. Sales optimization and better operations can really make a difference for successful games - to the tune of millions of dollars of additional revenue for some of our current partners.
Still, we believe IndieBI can truly flourish faster and become a universal, ubiquitous tool for the entire industry if it's properly independent - which is why we've spun it out of our own studio with funding from a wide circle of individual games industry investors to cover a couple of years of runway.
We've already achieved pretty amazing things (we can tell you all about them in a meeting), but we're ready for so much more. Now, with your help, we'll be able to scale and build cool stuff faster, and make studios smarter across the entire games industry!
If you have any questions feel free to write to recruitment@indiebi.com or in your application. Join us now, you're gonna love it in here! <3
Who's in the team already?
IndieBI is built by an engineering- and analytics-heavy team of 50+ friendly and creative people. The HQ is in Lodz, Poland and most of the company is Polish, but we work remote-first and use English in Teams, meetings, documents and emails.
We're generally working around European time zones, but we are used to working with teammates distributed all the over the world. Our clients are all over the place too - sun never sets on the IndieBI client base.
And in terms of IndieBI's founders:

Tom (CEO) for the past several years has been running the business side of SUPERHOT. Recently, he’s spent most of his time getting people excited about data and business intelligence.
Callum (CSO) is most known for his work at Robot Teddy, Raw Fury, Kepler Interactive, and Oculus. Since selling Robot Teddy in 2021, Callum has started a new consultancy under the name Uwu Biz, continuing to work with successful developers such as Boneloaf and Bippinbits. He continues to advise Kepler and other studios.
With IndieBI, they decided to create a stable, fun, and impactful company to solve a problem they've seen affect so many of their industry friends and partners. Too much was being done on gut-feel and by following others, and not enough done with all context and knowledge required. Now they're hoping IndieBI will be able to change all that - to fundamentally improve the way in which developers and publishers operate in the games industry.
The geese in the photo are not the founders. They are just geese.
Okay but also...
-
What's the level of experience necessary?
We expect you to have some experience in the aforementioned areas, but most importantly we appreciate a pro-active attitude and the willingness to learn, grow and shape your environment.
We appreciate that every project is different and there are times when you're pushed to learn a bunch of new things in shorter time, so the years of experience aren't the main factor we focus on. -
I have my concerns - what makes you special?
Firstly - we think we’re probably the only team and company able to pull off what we're working towards. Tom and Callum have spent years working with developers and platforms in the games industry and earning their trust. It would be very difficult to encourage companies to share their entire sales history and trust us to help them manage all aspects of their commercial strategy without having long histories of successful working relationships.
Secondly - we have a kickass group of individual games investors giving us advice, kicking doors open for us, and validating the importance of our work. We aren’t in Silicon Valley, and don’t want to be, but there is definitely something exciting about a startup doing something that no one else is!
Thirdly - we don't think there's any other company on the planet that gets to work with so many outstanding game developers and publishers. The impact we have on the industry helps so many companies build more of the games we know and love.
I figured I work better from home and I can work only remotely - how do you feel about it?
We fully support you in doing everything to make you feel comfortable and simply happy, so we wouldn't require you to join us in the office now or in the future. We'll be delighted to meet you face to face when you feel like it, but at the same time we will help you make your home the best workplace possible.
Wow, you made it to the end! We have nothing more to tell you for now! Please go click the button now!
