Who are we?

We're a part of the video games industry - one of the fastest growing and most amazingly creative industries in the world! We started within a games studio, we're working for other games studios and publishers, and our amazing investors are all strictly video games people and teams

But to give you some more context about our platform:

Premium console and PC games have been around for nearly half a century. Today, they're a global business worth an estimated $80+ billion dollars a year. The industry continues growing in leaps and bounds. More and more people pick up video games to unwind, escape, or feel inspired, and more studios and game development teams are forming today than ever before.

Despite the 50 years of history and the juggernaut scale of the industry, the chore of collecting the most important sales and marketing numbers often feels like a special circle of hell for game developers. Aggregating fresh data from across a dozen relevant sales platforms can take hours of frustrating, error-prone menial work. Analyzing that data to find good insights is so time consuming it’s borderline impossible for most people.

All of this effort makes gamedevs across the board miss out on valuable business opportunities and leave meaningful amounts of revenue untapped.

IndieBI makes this effort go away.

We're a first-of-its-kind business data aggregation and analytics platform for PC and Console video games. We automatically grab our users' data from all of their most relevant sales platforms, normalize it, crunch it up and present it in neat interactive dashboards and clever advisory tools.

This enables the game developers and publishers using IndieBI to build better intuition, track the outcomes of their decisions, and measurably improve their commercial performance.

It enables them to sell more games.

It's all built on a bedrock of our own personal experience - we started IndieBI to answer a dire need for tools like that at our own gamedev studio (SUPERHOT) and through our work helping other game developers (at Robot Teddy).

We've seen the early versions of IndieBI help our partners and ourselves make better decisions and improve revenues by hundreds of thousands and often millions of dollars a year - all while lowering blood pressures and cortisol levels across the board!

We've also grown since then.  We're now in closed beta, serving 1600+ other games from nearly a hundred diverse studios and publishers, with 700+ more companies signed up for our waiting list.

The company is also fully independent and funded only by a broad circle of games industry luminaries - a bunch of successful teams already using IndieBI, and 15+ individually amazing studio heads, publishers, and gaming company founders. IndieBI has always been a platform built by the games industry for the games industry, and now it's also entirely funded by the games industry.

We're confident that our industry inevitably needs state-of-the-art business intelligence tools. We're here to build them and to ensure they're universally available to everyone - not just the already successful, established, publicly traded companies, but also to the upstart indie studios and developers just about to take their very first steps into the land of game development.

Come work with us and let's make this happen together!

How did we get here?

We initially developed IndieBI some time in 2018 as in-house tool for SUPERHOT (with a huge help of Blue Brick, a software development company Tom, one of IndieBI's founders, set up in an previous life). It helped us track our own sales on every platform, and make smart decisions based on the data we gathered.

Over time, we quietly shared it with select other friendly developers and publishers. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and we soon started building it out into an actual platform.

The tools we make are evolving and maturing rapidly, and they currently look a little bit like this:

The insights and advice our small team of analysts were able to supply for SUPERHOT and our early beta partners have quickly more than paid for the development of the platform

Sales optimization and better operations can really make a difference for successful games - to the tune of millions of dollars of additional revenue for some of our current partners.

We kept growing, testing our traction, validating our tech, and just recently we’ve raised a funding round from a broad circle of individual industry veterans - people running successful studios, publishers, other games industry startup founders. This gives us a couple of years of runway to grow quickly and fully independently, without worrying about monetization or licensing fees. It also allows us to get some sage advice from our investors whenever we need it and to better access the nooks of the industry we're not as familiar with ourselves.

We're very happy of how far we've come already, but there's still a good amount of trails to blaze in front of us! The intermediate product roadmap we have for the future extends well into next year and beyond. It includes more live dashboards for managers and smaller studios, industry wide benchmarks, social and marketing metrics, clever anomaly detection system, a public access library of white papers, and many more - all of which are exciting projects for you to help the developers and publishers with.

As of today, we're chugging along, growing the platform in an invite-only beta. We're supporting nearly a hundred partnersall of them chock-full of fun gamedev people, and with nearly $2B in total tracked sales and over 700 more clients signed up for our waiting list, we’re not running out of traction any time soon.

We just need your help to scale up, grow faster, and finally make best-in-class business tools available to gamedevs everywhere.

What's the Team?

IndieBI currently consists of 35+ amazing people working on data, product, analysis, and business development.  Most of our teammates are from Poland, with a few members of our crew also based in Lebanon, Nigeria, Georgia, the US and the UK.

Everyone's working remote-first, with our actual work life and socializing playing out on calls and IMs. We’re steadily making more full time hires to round out the teams, and we're specifically aiming to create a diverse, creative work environment distributed all around the world.

You?

And in terms of IndieBI's founders:

Tom (CEO) for the past several years has been running the business side of SUPERHOT. Recently, he’s spent most of his time getting people excited about data and business intelligence.

Callum (CSO) is most known for his work at Kowloon Nights, Raw Fury, and Oculus, where he spent the last few years working with game developers around the world. He's since scaled up Robot Teddy - his own boutique consultancy, where he and his team help game developers like Bone Loaf, Innersloth, or SUPERHOT run better and smarter businesses.

With IndieBI, we decided to create a stable, fun, and impactful company to solve a problem we've seen affect so many of our industry friends and partners. Too much is done on gut-feel and by following others, and not enough done with all context and knowledge required. If successful, IndieBI has the potential to change the way in which developers operate in the games industry.

The geese in the photo are not the founders. They are just geese.

We could keep writing about ourselves for hours. But to be frank - we'd rather learn more about you! Click through, apply, and let's talk more during your job interview.
